Hassan Mohamed Sheikh Daud, 40, of India who is working as an attendant at the Operation Theatre of ADK hospital, the first private hospital in Maldives, has been awarded the best employee of the year by the management. He previously worked in the ICU department of the hospital.
He was awarded the well-deserved Employee Performance Award by the chief guest, Finance Minister Ibrahim Ameer at a function held at Ghiyasuddin International School last night to appreciate all the hard working employees of the hospital. Hassan did not take any sick leaves and has gotten 100 percent attendance. He has been working at the hospital for 19 years now.
Hasan was awarded with MVR 15,000 and a five-day trip to Dubai for two people. He plans to take the trip with his wife who resides in India with their two children.
Further, 78 employees of ADK hospital were awarded the High Performance Award while 5 employees were awarded the Silver Performance Award. Five more was also awarded Gold Performance Award. MVR 5000 was gifted to those who received the Silver Performance Award and MVR 7000 was gifted to those who received the Gold Performance Award.
Ahmed Afaal, Managing Director of ADK Hospital said at the function that when these awards were first introduced 9 years ago, it was difficult to even select five individuals as recipients of the awards. But after the introduction of the awards, he has noticed that the efficiency of the employees has increased in a competitive work environment and the quality of the services provided for customers has also improved as well.
ADK hospital which first began as a small clinic 32 years ago has now been transformed to a full scale hospital which provides a variety of services with currently 803 employees working.
