Approximately 1200 individuals have applied for 22 vacant job positions at Maldives Customs.
According to an official at Customs, the reason for such a great influx in job applications is due to the many opportunities available for employees to go forward in the company.
The officer further stated that whenever there is a job opening, it is usual to receive many applications. But this is the first time such a largely significant number of individuals have applied.
1175 people applied to the 22 job positions publicized in April. 1050 individuals applied for the 23 job positions publicized in 2016. 910 individuals applied for the 19 job positions publicized last year. In 2017, no job positions were open for application.
